Old Vine Grenache
This is a wine we’ve loved for a long time. It constantly scores well; the vines are between 40-100 years old (I have it on good authority that the vines are mostly 80-year-old) and it tastes amazing. Oh yeah, it’s also sells for less that $15 a bottle. How can you beat that? Anyway, This Grenache has concentrated fruit, both red and black, subtle tannin (20% aged in oak) and good acidity. This should be in rotation as your week-day sipper. We call it the “No-Brainer”.
Pair with Cheeseburgers, meatloaf, taco Tuesday, pasta dishes (with or without meat) or just sink into a glass and unwind after a long day.
